Lifted love their walks

What a busy month it’s been, taking time to enjoy the outdoor is a lovely treat

We are now mid June and what a busy month it has been for Lifted.

We love our day’s at Lifted and we especially loved the day when we get a new member to join the core team (Hi Nina)

But what makes Lifted the magical and special place that it is, is that the whole team is big on mental health and making sure that not only do we look after the mental health of those who use the Lifted service but we also do the same ourselves.

This month our Lifted mental health day also crossed over with the joint walk that the Ramblers, Manchester Carers Forum and Lifted all took part in.

Our walk this time was around the Levenshulme Loop followed by a lovely lunch at the South Station bar.

The shorter walk was delivered by our very own Nina and I loved the walk as Nina spent so much time teaching me about all the different trees and plants that are currently growing along the route.

We were expecting rain and thunderstorms all day, but the weather gods were on our side again and it held off until we sat down for lunch and the heavens opened up fully which was lovely to watch from the dining room we were sitting in that overlooked the loop.

We had 21 carers, staff and volunteers join this walk in total.

Watch this space for more updates on upcoming walks.
